Important: Action required if you have a website that ends in .ZA
If you have a website that ends with the extension .ZA, the South African government has requested that you provide a link to the official COVID-19 Corona Virus South African Resource Portal somewhere on your website.
Xneelo can confirm that this is a legitimate legislative request from the Communications Minister of South Africa, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams. More information can be found here.
In essence, what this means is all South African website owners (websites that end in .ZA) are required to link to the Department of Health’s Covid-19 portal.
No due date or non-compliance repercussions have been communicated as of Friday, 27 March 2020. While we are attempting to assist our customers as far as possible, due to the number of different types of websites and their individual setups, we are not able to provide step-by-step instructions on how to make the update.
If you are not able to make this update yourself, please contact your web developer for assistance. Alternatively, a helpful resource can be found here. For WordPress sites, please visit this article.
