{"id":11907,"date":"2016-03-23T12:53:06","date_gmt":"2016-03-23T10:53:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hetzner.co.za\/help-centre\/?p=11907"},"modified":"2025-11-04T14:54:19","modified_gmt":"2025-11-04T12:54:19","slug":"using-cloudflare","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/website\/using-cloudflare\/","title":{"rendered":"Using CloudFlare"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to <strong>route your web traffic through CloudFlare\u2019s network<\/strong>, your domain&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/domains\/update-name-servers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">name servers\u00a0need to be changed<\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/support.cloudflare.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/205195708-Step-3-Change-your-domain-name-servers-to-CloudFlare#step1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CloudFlare name servers<\/a> <span>via your xneelo Control Panel.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/domains\/update-name-servers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Updating your domain<\/a> to CloudFlare\u2019s name servers gives them <strong>control of your domain\u2019s <\/strong><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/domains\/what-is-my-dns-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DNS<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0and DNS records\u00a0will need to be pointed\u00a0<strong>back to xneelo servers for our hosting and mail services<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before making name server changes, ensure that you have successfully configured your DNS information to point to xneelo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note:\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you experience any errors or downtime on your website or email accounts both CloudFlare and xneelo are responsible to investigate and to resolve the issue.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>If the name servers are updated <strong>before<\/strong> the DNS records are pointed to xneelo, your mail services (incl. Webmail) will be disrupted.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Xneelo will still remain responsible for the <\/span><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">domain name administration and hosting<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">\u00a0and will continue to invoice you for the yearly domain renewal fee and hosting package.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note that <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/domains\/what-is-domain-propagation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DNS propagation<\/a> for name servers updates may take anywhere from 24 \u2013\u00a072 hours.<\/p>\n<h2>Let&#8217;s Encrypt SSL\/TLS: is it supported?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes.
