The default setup of a new hosting account includes one mailbox (or email address), called webmaster<\/strong>. This mailbox can be deleted or retained, depending on your needs.<\/p>\n

Edit or delete the webmaster mailbox<\/h2>\n

  1. Browse to konsoleH<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and log in<\/strong> at Admin level<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Select or search for the required domain name in the Hosting Services<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n
  3. Click\u00a0Mail<\/strong>\u00a0from the left-hand menu >\u00a0Manage Accounts<\/strong> under Mail.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\"Manage<\/li>\n
  4. The <\/span>Manage Accounts<\/b> page displays all mailboxes and aliases for your domain. <\/span>Webmaster<\/b> is the default mailbox for new hosting accounts and can be deleted if not needed. \"Webmaster\"<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Rather than forward mail from this mailbox, the <\/span>webmaster mailbox<\/b> can be deleted and replaced with a <\/span>webmaster alias<\/b>, which will forward webmaster@ mails to the mailbox of your choice.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When is a Webmaster mailbox needed?<\/h2>\n

    If you use a\u00a0sending email address outside of your domain<\/strong>, you\u2019ll need to check the webmaster@ mailbox for bounce messages. If you have email-sending software that does automatic bounce monitoring, the webmaster mailbox will need to be checked for bounces.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
