{"id":1607,"date":"2009-08-17T11:02:01","date_gmt":"2009-08-17T09:02:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/helpcentre\/?p=1607"},"modified":"2026-05-27T08:29:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T06:29:17","slug":"what-are-the-responsibilities-of-a-xneelo-reseller","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/products-and-services\/what-are-the-responsibilities-of-a-xneelo-reseller\/","title":{"rendered":"What are the responsibilities of an xneelo Reseller?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Resellers are customers using our <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/reseller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Volume Plan<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/managed-servers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Managed Serve<\/a>r to provide hosting services to their own customers.<\/p>\n<p>As an xneelo Reseller, you can rely on us for your hosting, which allows you to focus on your business.<\/p>\n<h2>Reseller Code of Good Practice &amp; Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<p>As an<b> xneelo Reseller,<\/b> it is assumed that you have sufficient resources to deliver consistent levels of customer service in line with that of xneelo.<\/p>\n<h3>An xneelo Reseller is expected to:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Consult<\/strong> with customers to determine what services fit their needs best.<\/li>\n<li>Provide appropriate <strong>value-added services<\/strong> to the customer (e.g. web design, internet access, programming, etc.) or obtain the requested services from a third party supplier on the customer\u2019s behalf.<\/li>\n<li>Provide <strong>full support<\/strong> to your customers on all aspects of the hosting service, incl. email and web hosting.<\/li>\n<li>Abide by xneelo&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/legal\/terms-of-service\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Terms &amp; Conditions<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that your customers adhere to xneelo&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/legal\/acceptable-use-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Acceptable Use Policy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Provide <strong>direct billing<\/strong> on a single invoice to your customers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure xneelo receives payment for the web hosting services provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Support<\/h3>\n<p>Our Customer Support team provides <strong>you<\/strong> with 24\/7 support. <strong>You are required to provide full support to your own clients<\/strong> on all aspects of their hosting \u2013\u00a0both web and mail.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unable to do so, then a Volume Plan, Managed Server, or Self-Managed Server may not be a suitable choice. Instead, your client could sign-up directly with us for a hosting package, which includes our customer support, while you provide your own specialised services separately from xneelo.<\/p>\n<h3>Domains<\/h3>\n<p>Domains must be registered in the name of the user. It is unethical to register domains in your own\/business name rather than the end client. Although this practice allows a certain amount of control over the domain in the case of a customer dispute, this is not an acceptable policy. Instead, consider alternatives, such as using the <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/uncategorized\/how-to-block-a-domains-website-and-email\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Block tool<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You may be registered as the Administrative Contact for the domain, but not as the Registrant.<\/p>\n<p>A domain name may not be used as leverage against the end-user. In the event of outstanding monies, resellers are encouraged to seek compensation via third-party resources. This should not hinder the transfer of a domain name away from their administration.<\/p>\n<h3>Control Panel access<\/h3>\n<p><b>Access via the xneelo Control Panel:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resellers can add <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/control-panel\/collaborators\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collaborators<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to their account, granting them <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/control-panel\/what-privileges-do-collaborators-have\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">access<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to one or several domains, or the account itself. The Collaborators functionality limits what users can see (and do) in the control panel, while keeping login credentials private.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Access via konsoleH:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note: This control panel will be deprecated once all tools are available in the xneelo Control Panel.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>The konsoleH control panel allows <a href=\"https:\/\/login.konsoleh.co.za\/cas\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">two levels of access<\/a>, making it highly suitable for Resellers. You can maintain full control over all administrative aspects of the domain (Admin level access) while providing your end-client with Domain level access.
