Investigate the cause of overuse<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Refer to our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/website\/check-disk-usage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Disk Usage<\/b><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">t<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ool<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in konsoleH to <\/span><b>investigate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which folders within your hosting account are causing the disk over-usage<\/span>. Oftentimes the main cause of <strong>excessive<\/strong> disk usage is email. This tool includes the option to bulk delete email for a specific time frame.<\/p>\n<h3>2. Remove\u00a0unnecessary \u00a0files<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Emails<\/strong>, <strong>logfiles<\/strong> and <strong>website backups<\/strong>\u00a0are common causes of excessive disk usage.<\/p>\n<p>The konsoleH Disk Cleanup Tool allows you to manage your <strong>web log<\/strong> retention thresholds for your domain. The cleanup rules can be set\u00a0<strong>individually<\/strong> per domain or for all domains within your account.<\/p>\n<p>In each hosting package, <strong>mail<\/strong> is found in the\u00a0<b>users <\/b>directory, and <strong>log files<\/strong> in <strong>www_logs<\/strong>. \u00a0If either of these\u00a0directories or a sub-folder becomes too large, check if the problem is caused by:<\/p>\n<h3>a. Reconsider if a catch-all is needed. If the catch-all has been forwarded on, or it isn&#8217;t necessary to view the individual mail, the entire mailbox with contents can be deleted via the <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/email\/create-mail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Manage Accounts Tool<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Forwarding<\/strong> on mailboxes to external addresses is not being cleared out.\n<ul>\n<li>Delete the <em>mailbox<\/em> and replace it with an <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/email\/create-mail\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>alias<\/em><\/a> which will forward email to the external address, without keeping a duplicate copy in the original mailbox. Use the Manage Accounts Tool<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Large amounts of legitimate mail\u00a0<\/strong>in the Inbox of your mail programme, or saved in a subfolder\n<ul>\n<li>Use your mail client (e.g. Outlook, Thunderbird) or <a href=\"https:\/\/xneelo.co.za\/help-centre\/website\/file-manager\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">File Manager<\/a> to <strong>back up or archive<\/strong> your mail, and then delete it from the server.
