All incoming emails are automatically scanned by a Spam Filter and are assigned a spam score. This score determines whether the message will be classified as spam. Xneelo\u2019s standard filtering threshold is set at 5 (this score is adjustable). Any email that scores 5 or higher is classified as spam and is sent straight to the Spambucket. Any email that scores lower than 5 is allowed through to your inbox.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0If you want to <\/span>unconditionally accept<\/b> all emails from a particular address or domain and bypass the spam filter, then you should <\/span>whitelist the address<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is also possible to \u2018blacklist\u2019 an email address or all email addresses related to a specific sender or domain. It is important to note that these emails will not be delivered and will be <\/span>permanently deleted <\/b>from our servers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Note: <\/b>It is not recommended to whitelist a domain or email address on itself, such as adding <\/span>info@example.com<\/span><\/i> to the whitelist for domain <\/span>example.com<\/span><\/i>. This is a potential security risk, as it allows emails to bypass anti-spoofing security checks (specifically <\/span>SPF<\/span><\/a> checks). This can allow spoofed emails to be filtered directly to the user\u2019s inbox.<\/span><\/p>\n

Blacklisting or Whitelisting<\/b> an email address or domain:<\/h2>\n

  1. Browse to konsoleH<\/a><\/strong> and log in\u00a0at Admin or Domain level<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. If Admin level: Select or search for a domain name in the \u2018Hosting Service<\/strong>\u2019 tab<\/li>\n
  3. Select Mail<\/strong>\u00a0from the left-hand menu<\/li>\n
  4. Select the Black\/Whitelist<\/strong>\u00a0under Mail<\/li>\n
  5. Click on the Whitelist<\/strong>\u00a0or Blacklist<\/strong>\u00a0button at the top of the window<\/li>\n
  6. Enter the email address (or multiple comma-separated addresses) in the Address<\/strong> field and click Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  7. To remove<\/strong> addresses from the Blacklist\/Whitelist, tick the checkbox<\/strong> next to the entry and select Delete<\/strong>\u00a0from the top menu<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
