If your mailbox has been compromised, you may not even be aware of it. A common method of fraud is to crack the password of a mailbox and then add an email forwarder so that a copy of all mail is forwarded to an illegitimate address.<\/p>\n

Perform the following safety checks regularly:<\/p>\n

  1. Change your mailbox password<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Check for illegitimate mail forwarders<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Security checks via Webmail<\/span><\/h2>\n

    Access your Mailbox<\/span><\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Browse<\/strong> to the Webmail<\/a> login page.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Login<\/strong> with your full email address (eg. me@my-domain.com) and email password. (passwords are case-sensitive)<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Select Settings<\/strong> from the left-hand menu.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Check Forwarders<\/h3>\n
        \n
      1. Choose Settings > Manage Mailbox<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
      2. Log in using the same login details as earlier.<\/li>\n
      3. Under the Forwarders<\/strong> section, check that any email addresses listed here are legitimate. <\/span><\/li>\n
      4. To remove a forwarder, delete<\/strong> the email address.<\/span><\/li>\n
      5. Click on Update Mailbox<\/strong> at the bottom of the page.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Check Filters<\/h3>\n

        1. Choose Settings > Filters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        2. The Filter set is Roundcube<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        3. Under Filters\u00a0<\/strong>check that any filters here are legitimate. The details of the filter are reflected in the right panel.<\/li>\n
        4. To delete a filter click on Delete<\/strong> (trash can) above the selected filter.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Forwarders can also be managed within your<\/span> Control Panel, and is convenient for managing all mailboxes for a domain.
