Name servers are computers that translate domain names into IP addresses<\/strong> (or vice versa).<\/p>\n

Domain names are alphabetic<\/strong> and therefore easier for humans to remember. The Internet, however, is based on numeric<\/strong> IP addresses, where every computer (host) is assigned a unique IP address. For example, the domain www.xneelo.co.za<\/span> resolves to the IP 197.189.196.146.<\/p>\n

When browsing to a domain, a name server translates the domain name to an IP address. Your computer will then connect to this IP address, which is assigned to a web hosting server. Your internet browser will then retrieve and display the requested website.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Hosting Only<\/a> option is available to customers who have previously registered their domain name with a third-party domain registrar, and who want to use their domain name with an xneelo hosting service. In this case, you will need to update the registrar records to reflect our name servers.<\/p>\n
