The <\/span>wp-config.php<\/b> file is located in the root of your WordPress file directory and contains your website’s base configuration details, such as database connection information. <\/span><\/p>\n

After first installation, WordPress will automatically try to create this file. If there is an error when browsing to your domain and running the install script, the file can be configured manually instead.<\/span><\/p>\n

This can be done in 2 ways, using:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. File Manager<\/b> in konsoleH (described below), or <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. FTP<\/b> to download the file, edit it in a text editor such as TextEdit or Notepad (do not use Google docs or Word) and then upload the updated version.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Configure using konsoleH File Manager:<\/b><\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. Browse to konsoleH<\/a> and log in\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. In the left menu choose <\/span>Manage Services > Files and Folders > File Manager<\/b><\/li>\n
    3. Using the top and right hand menu (or double clicking) find the\u00a0<\/span>home > public_html >\u00a0 wp-config.php\u00a0<\/b>(If the domain is a sub- or multiple domain, this file will be in a subfolder within the public_html directory of the main account)<\/li>\n
    4. If only the sample file\u00a0wp-config-sample.php <\/b>exists , then select the file and choose <\/span>Rename<\/b> from the right hand menu to rename to <\/span>wp-config.php<\/b><\/li>\n
    5. Select the new\u00a0wp-config.php<\/strong> file and choose E<\/strong><\/span>dit<\/b> from the right menu\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Edit the following settings using the details that you saved when creating a database for your WordPress site<\/span>\n
