FileZilla<\/b> is open source FTP software distributed free of charge under the terms of the GNU General Public License. It is a useful FTP programme that can be used to upload or download your website content.

Configuration settings<\/b><\/h2>\n

You will need to know the FTP details specific to your account. See Find my FTP login details<\/a><\/p>\n

  1. Open<\/strong> FileZilla<\/li>\n
  2. Enter Host<\/strong>: (your domain name or IP address<\/a>)<\/li>\n
  3. Enter User ID<\/strong>: (FTP username)<\/li>\n
  4. Enter Password<\/strong>: (FTP password)<\/li>\n
  5. Port<\/strong>: 22<\/li>\n
  6. Click Quick Connect<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. You will now see your two panels:\n

    1. On the left is your local site<\/strong> i.e. the files on your computer<\/li>\n
    2. On the right is your remote site<\/strong> i.e. the files on your webs server<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. Click on the folder in the remote site named public_html<\/strong>. This is your web-accessible folder, which is where you place all your web content.<\/li>\n
    4.
