If your domain exceeds its allocated disk space quota, we will send you a <\/span>monthly email warning<\/b>, providing you an opportunity to <\/span>reduce<\/b> disk usage to avoid unnecessary charges for over-usage.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Reduce Disk Usage:<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

1. Investigate the cause of overuse<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Refer to our <\/span>Disk Usage tool<\/a> in the <\/span>xneelo Control Panel<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to <\/span>investigate<\/b> which folders within your hosting account are causing the disk over-usage. Oftentimes the main cause of <\/span>excessive<\/b> disk usage is email. This tool includes the option to bulk delete email for a specific time frame.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

2. Remove unnecessary\u00a0 files<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Emails<\/b>, <\/span>logfiles<\/b> and <\/span>website backups<\/b> are common causes of excessive disk usage.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

In each hosting package, <\/span>mail<\/b> is found in the <\/span>users <\/b>directory, and <\/span>log files<\/b> in <\/span>www_logs<\/b>.\u00a0 If either of these directories or a sub-folder becomes too large, check if the problem is caused by:<\/span><\/p>\r\n

a. Email<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Email <\/span>accumulating<\/b> on the server can lead to both disk- and inode-overusage i.e. both large volumes and large numbers of emails. If your email is set up to use <\/span>IMAP<\/b> (the default setting), then all mail stays on the server and adds to your disk usage. Excess email is often caused by:<\/span><\/p>\r\n
