Domains can be transferred\u00a0internally\u00a0between xneelo customers<\/b>, to<\/a>\u00a0xneelo\u00a0or away<\/a>\u00a0<\/b>from xneelo.<\/p>\n

What is an internal transfer?<\/h2>\n

If you have a domain on xneelo’s network but it is administered by someone else and you would prefer to administer the domain and hosting yourself, you can request a transfer to your own xneelo account. <\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. An existing account\u00a0with xneelo is required<\/strong>, or you can create a new one.<\/li>\n
  2. Order your new hosting account<\/strong>\u00a0within the\u00a0konsoleH<\/a>\u00a0control panel and then submit the transfer request<\/strong> to have your domain and web content moved.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Any transfer with web content and associated databases (if there are any) is subject to the approval<\/b> of the current Domain Administrator. This can be your web developer or the party that is administering your domain, also known as the Account\u00a0Owner.<\/p>\n

    To ensure a smooth transfer we recommend that you contact<\/b>\u00a0the current Domain Administrator before<\/b> you put in your transfer request.<\/p>\n

    Place your Transfer Order<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. If you don’t yet have an xneelo account, then register here<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Browse<\/strong> to konsoleH<\/a><\/strong> and log in<\/strong> at Admin level<\/a>\u00a0\"kh-login-wide\"<\/li>\n
    3. Select New Order<\/b>\u00a0(top right)\"kh<\/a><\/li>\n
    4. Choose Domain Names<\/strong>\u00a0or Web Hosting<\/b>, and your preferred package and hosting location, >\u00a0Next\"kh<\/a><\/b><\/li>\n
    5. Select Transfer an existing domain name<\/b>\"kh<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
    6. \u00a0Enter the name i.e. example<\/em>, without the preceding www and then select the domain extension (e.g. .co.za<\/em>) from the drop-down list, > Next \"\"<\/strong><\/li>\n
    7. Choose whether you want the web content included, or the domain name alone<\/strong>. It is important to specify that you want the web content. If you don\u2019t, xneelo will delete it without keeping any backups.\"\"<\/b><\/li>\n
    8. You can only select a web hosting package<\/strong> that can accommodate the current usage.<\/li>\n
    9. Important: add a message<\/strong>, including as much information as possible, e.g. your contact details, to ensure that the current domain administrator is aware of the transfer.\"kh<\/a><\/li>\n
    10. Provide new domain registran<\/b>t<\/strong> information and select Complete. \u00a0<\/b>A transfer request<\/strong> with an authorisation code<\/strong> is then sent to the current administrator, which allows them to accept<\/strong> or decline<\/strong> the transfer.\u00a0Should there be website content, it is\u00a0the current administrators right to approve or decline the transfer of content to your account.<\/b><\/li>\n
    11. To check on the status of the transfer, return to konsoleH and click on the\u00a0new menu item\u00a0Status of transfer requests\u00a0\"kh-internal-transfer-gp\"<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The transfer request is valid for 10 days<\/strong> after which it will automatically be declined. As soon as the current administrator approves the request, the transfer process will start.<\/p>\n

      If approved, the transfer of web content can take up to 3 business days to complete. If you are not making use of our Name Servers, please contact us<\/a> after the completed restructure to confirm your new server IP address and update your DNS records.<\/p>\n

      Your email<\/strong> accounts will move together with the domain and web content<\/strong> if a web hosting package was selected.<\/p>\n

      On a successful transfer, your first step is to log in to konsoleH and set an FTP password \u2013 here’s how<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n
