Outbound traffic on SMTP Port 25 is blocked by default on all xneelo Cloud<\/a> instances. This means that any application attempting to send email over Port 25 will fail to connect.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you need to send email from your instance, we recommend using alternative, secure methods. You can also <\/span>request access<\/b> to port 25 (see below).<\/span><\/p>\n

Why port 25 is blocked\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

Blocking Port 25 is an industry standard to prevent spam and abuse. This also protects our xneelo Cloud IP addresses from being blacklisted, which would affect all customers.<\/span><\/p>\n

For this reason, Port 25 remains blocked by default. Customers with a legitimate use case can request access (see below).<\/span><\/p>\n

Secure email delivery methods<\/b><\/h2>\n

You can still send email from your instance using secure, authenticated SMTP services. For example:<\/span><\/p>\n

Port 587:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Port 587 is the most widely supported option for sending email securely. It uses authenticated SMTP and encryption.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Port 465:<\/b>
\n<\/span>Port 465 supports authenticated SMTP over SSL\/TLS.<\/span><\/p>\n
