This guide takes you step-by-step through the process of setting up a new email account in\u00a0Entourage<\/span><\/p>\n

Note<\/em>: This guide defaults to IMAP<\/a> and No SSL<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Replace your-domain<\/em>\u00a0with your domain name<\/p>\n

    1. Launch Entourage<\/li>\n
    2. On the toolbar at the top of the page, select Tools<\/b> and then Accounts<\/b>\"Entourage
      \n

      Create new account<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
    3. Click the New<\/b> icon (top left) and then select Mail<\/b>
      \n

      Set up a mail account<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
    4. The Account Setup Assistant<\/b> window will appear<\/li>\n
    5. Click the Configure account manually<\/b> button
      \n

      Edit Account<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
    6. The Edit Account screen window will appear<\/li>\n
    7. Enter your Account name<\/b>: e.g. Home email<\/li>\n
    8. Enter Name<\/b>: Name Surname<\/li>\n
    9. Enter Email address<\/b>: you@your-domain.com<\/li>\n
    10. Enter Account ID<\/b>: you@your-domain.com (your email address)<\/li>\n
    11. Enter POP server<\/b>: pop.your-domain.com<\/li>\n
    12. Enter Password<\/b>: as specified when the mailbox was created in your control panel<\/li>\n
    13. Enter SMTP server<\/b>: smtp.your-domain.com<\/li>\n
    14. It is optional to check the Save password in my Mac OS keychain<\/b> box; if you don\u2019t check this box, Entourage will ask you for your password each time you send or receive an email.<\/li>\n
    15. Click on Click here for advanced sending options<\/b> button

    16. Ensure that the Override default SMTP port<\/b> checkbox is ticked<\/li>\n
    17. Change the Override default SMTP port<\/b> number to 587<\/b><\/li>\n
    18. Ensure that the SMTP server requires authentication<\/b> checkbox is ticked<\/li>\n
    19. Close the setup windows<\/li>\n
    20. Click on the small square in the top-left corner of the Advanced Sending Options window to close it; then click OK<\/b> to close the main Edit Account window.<\/li>\n
    21. Entourage should be set up to send and receive mail.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
