We offer MariaDB<\/strong> databases on all Basic web hosting package or higher. MariaDB is equivalent to MySQL, so it will usually be referred to as MySQL.<\/p>\n

Your konsoleH<\/strong> control panel provides access to the\u00a0Manage MySQL\u00a0<\/strong>tool which allows you to create, manage and delete<\/strong> MySQL databases. It also provides access to the phpMyAdmin<\/strong> database administration tool.\u00a0On the main page of the Manage MySQL<\/strong> tool\u00a0in konsoleH, you will see your database list. This is a list of databases currently created on your domain. If no databases exist, only the database quota will be visible.<\/p>\n

Access Database tool in konsoleH<\/h2>\n

  1. Browse to\u00a0konsoleH<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and log in\u00a0at Admin or Domain level<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. If Admin level: Select or search for a domain name in the Hosting Services<\/strong>\u00a0tab.<\/li>\n
  3. Click Manage Services<\/strong>\u00a0on the left-hand menu.<\/li>\n
  4. Select Databases ><\/strong>\u00a0Manage MySQL<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Follow the relevant directions below to create, delete, manage or reset the password for the database\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Create\u00a0a new MySQL Database:<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. To create a new database, click Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    2. The database access information is displayed. This page allows you to customise these details, should you wish.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
    3. Important! Make a note of these details as the password will not be recorded<\/li>\n
    4. Select Add\u00a0<\/strong>in order to confirm the details and create the database.<\/li>\n
    5. You have now successfully created a new MySQL database<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

      Delete an existing\u00a0MySQL Database:<\/h3>\n

        \n
      1. Select the required database if there is more than one.<\/li>\n
      2. Click Delete<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      3. Confirm your action by clicking on Delete<\/strong>. Please note that this action\u00a0cannot be undone<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      4. You have now successfully deleted your\u00a0MySQL database.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

        Reset Password of\u00a0an existing\u00a0MySQL Database:<\/h3>\n

        1. Select the required database if there is more than one.<\/li>\n
        2. Click\u00a0Reset Passwords<\/strong>.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
        3. You are now able to update the passwords<\/strong> assigned to your database.<\/li>\n
        4. Important! Make a note of these details as the password will not be recorded<\/li>\n
        5. Once you have made the required changes, you may click Update\u00a0<\/strong>to save the changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
