   This block takes the indicator out of the line box and positions it against
   the link, so placement derives from the link rather than a fixed offset.

   WHY EACH VALUE IS WHAT IT IS

   Every number below was derived by pixel-diffing the rendered menu against the
   pre-upgrade reference (an install still on Mega Menu 3.9.2.1). Getting to a
   zero-pixel match needed four separate corrections, none of which is arbitrary:

   padding-right: 26px (link)
       Taking the indicator out of flow also collapsed the whitespace text node
       that sat between the label and the indicator in the markup. Pre-upgrade a
       link measured: text 65 + whitespace ~6 + indicator 15 + padding 5 = 91px.
       With the indicator absolute and 20px padding it measured 85px — every link
       6px narrow, shifting every subsequent item leftwards. 26px restores it.
       Do NOT reduce this to 20px "to match the indicator width".

   right: 6px (indicator, closed)
       With right: 0 the chevron sat at the far edge of that 26px padding, 6px
       right of where it used to sit in flow after the text.

   top: calc(50% - 7px) (indicator, closed)
       Centres the 12px box on the link, less 1px, which lands the closed chevron
       +2.0px from its label's vertical centre — matching the reference.

   top: calc(50% - 1px) and right: 7px (indicator, open)
       The open and closed arrows genuinely need DIFFERENT offsets. The original
       rules encoded this as -40px vs -30px: a 10px differential compensating for
       transform: rotate(180deg) moving the visible chevron ink within its box.
       Centring both uniformly left the expanded item's arrow 5px too high. The
       extra 1px of `right` compensates for a horizontal rotation artifact.
       Do NOT collapse the open and closed rules into one.

   NO transform on span.mega-indicator, deliberately
       The open/closed flip relies on transform: rotate(180deg) on that span.
       Centring via translateY would override it and freeze the chevron pointing
       down.

   SCOPED TO min-width: 1025px
       responsive_breakpoint is 1024px; below it Mega Menu renders the mobile
       toggle, where the indicator flows normally and was never broken. Applying
       the absolute positioning there pushed the mobile chevrons hard against the
       right edge instead of leaving them inset.

      `static`, where `top` is ignored — so every mobile chevron rendered 4px low.
      Restoring `position: relative` re-activates the theme's existing `top: -4px`;
      the -4px is NOT introduced here, it was always in the theme.

   VERIFIED at 390x844 against the pre-upgrade reference: toggle bar 0 differing
   pixels (max channel delta 1, antialiasing), menu rows 0 differing pixels with
