If you\u2019re new to WordPress, or use it to power your site but aren\u2019t deeply involved in the community, all the talk about editors can get a little confusing. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Basically, the Gutenberg editor provides a more intuitive and user-friendly way of creating content, using blocks to represent each element of the content. This makes it easier to add and arrange elements, such as images, videos, and text, and to create more complex layouts for your website.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the Gutenberg editor is a big change from WordPress\u2019 classic editor, there\u2019s no need to be intimidated by it. In fact, Gutenberg is designed to be user-friendly and easy to pick up. If you\u2019re using a past version of your favourite web browser, you may need to update it in order for Gutenberg to work properly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, when Gutenberg was first announced, one of the major concerns that surfaced was how it would impact existing WordPress sites. There were questions regarding its compatibility with popular WordPress themes and plugins, as well as how it would affect content created in the old editor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fortunately, the new editor works well with most themes and plugins. In fact, it should work with any theme you want to use, although your best bet is to choose a theme that has been created or updated to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.codeinwp.com\/blog\/best-gutenberg-compatible-themes\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provide dedicated Gutenberg support<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This reduces the chance for compatibility errors and other bugs. This is especially true for plugins that change the editor\u2019s functionality, such as page builders. However, most of the popular tools have had updates that enable them to integrate well with the new editor.
