How to restrict your web server to only accept traffic from Cloudbric WAF
By restricting your web server to only accept traffic from Cloudbric WAF, you ensure that all incoming requests are fully inspected and prevent attackers from bypassing your website’s security defenses.
Any traffic that attempts to connect directly to your server will be blocked.
Enabling this feature helps:
- Prevent bypass attempts: Attackers cannot bypass the Cloudbric WAF by targeting your web server’s IP directly.
- Ensure total inspection: Every single visitor is inspected for malicious activity before reaching your site.
- Reduce exposure: Minimises your web server’s exposure on the public internet.
Before enabling this feature:
- Ensure your domain is already routing traffic through Cloudbric WAF.
- Confirm your website is accessible via Cloudbric WAF.
