Where e-commerce meets development
Craig Sander and Arno Liebenberg, co-founders of eCubator, describe themselves as “a couple of guys that enjoy what we do and take pride in the work we deliver and the outcomes for our customers.” But don’t let that casual introduction fool you – what they’re doing is deeply impactful.
“eCubator officially started in August 2019,” explains Craig. “In 2018, we were running an e-commerce business and cutting costs wherever we could to fight the recession. We chose not to have a monthly retainer for web development and thereby gave up web maintenance. Maybe not our best idea! After a few months the wheels came off the bus on our site and we were chasing developers to help us fix the problem.”
Technical skills plus experience
From this point, they started learning in-house the skills to maintain and develop their e-commerce store. “Before we knew it, we had redeveloped our online store,” says Craig. “One agency quoted us six figures to do this development – we did it in two weeks!”
Craig and Arno realised that they had the technical skills but their strongest advantage was actually running an online store for nearly a decade. “We understand all the facets and challenges of an e-commerce business,” explains Craig. “Our decade of owning and running an e-commerce business, combined with our passion to help people grow their business, is a unique recipe.”

“We’ve been with xneelo (then Hetzner) since 2011. We have dealt with other service providers of clients over the years, but the service and uptime at xneelo is unparalleled in our experience. We chose the reseller product so that we could provide great value and solutions to our customers.”
