Any business that stores, processes or forwards cardholder data needs to be Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant. Although PCI compliance cannot guarantee absolute security, it remains an important and effective tool to prevent online fraud.
We’re pleased to share that our Samrand Data Centre has achieved PCI Compliance for the third year in a row.
It came as no surprise that our Samrand Data Centre met all the relevant security requirements prescribed by the PCI. Furthermore, our security training and vetting of data centre staff members contributed to our ongoing compliance. This compliance offers some peace of mind for our customers who are merchants, and who process their customers’ sensitive data. This compliance applies to our Samrand Data Centre and our Colocation products only, and not individual shared Web Hosting products.

Regardless of hosting infrastructure, as a merchant that accepts debit or credit card payments, there will be other aspects of security you’ll need to address.
