At xneelo, it starts with purpose. We’re business enablers offering a hosting service for our customers to create and transact online. We spend each day working hard to retain the trust of our customers. Inspired by our brand promise ‘trusted in hosting’, we deliver a web hosting service that is reliable and consistent, focusing on infrastructure stability, good value and consistent service delivery.

Why we exist

We chose the name xneelo (pronounced ex-nee-lo) with care. Inspired by a Latin phrase that translates into the ability to ‘create something out of nothing’, we believe that xneelo represents the resourcefulness, ingenuity and industrious spirit of our customers – and of our own team. Your creativity, dreams and courage to start and grow a business inspires us every day. It’s an honour to serve and support the over 500 000 websites that call xneelo home.

2021

Top performing companies

For over 20 years Top Media & Communications has hosted the annual Top Performing Companies project in which 10 000 of South Africa’s leading companies are evaluated by the University of Cape Town. Only 1 in 5 companies qualify for the prestige of being identified as a top-performing organisation. We’re honoured by being awarded this title.

2021

Stevie Awards: One gold and two silvers

Xneelo won three awards at the 15th annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service. We received recognition for Customer Service Department of the Year – Consumer Products & Services, Customer Service Success – Technology Industries and Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries. We are honoured to have been awarded in every category we entered. More than 2,300 nominations from organisations of all sizes and in virtually every industry, in 51 nations, were considered in this year’s competition.

2020

Stevie Awards: Three international customer service awards

Xneelo won two silver awards and one bronze award in the 14th annual Stevie Awards. We received a Silver award for Sales & Customer Service: a silver award for Customer Service Success – Technology Industries and another for Customer Service Department of the Year – Consumer Products & Services. We were awarded a Bronze award for Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year – Technology Industries.

National Business Awards Finalist

Xneelo was acknowledged as a finalist in the Customer Focus Award category, an accolade that acknowledges xneelo’s commitment in offering the highest level of service to its customers.

Xneelo was acknowledged for actively demonstrating the core principles of the Award with its comprehensive customer service procedures and policies.

2019

Stevie Awards: Silver in 2 categories

Xneelo’s customer service team was internationally recognised in two categories in the international Stevie Awards: Contact Centre of the Year (< 100 seats), and Front-Line Customer Service Team of the Year.

More than 2,700 nominations from organisations of all sizes and in virtually every industry, in 45 nations, were evaluated.

Xneelo was named runner-up for the Customer Focus Award, an accolade that acknowledges xneelo’s commitment in offering the highest level of service to its customers.

Xneelo was also one of three finalists for the Innovation Through Technology Award, and a finalist for the Digital Company of the Year Award.

Xneelo has been awarded the 2015 / 2014 South African Web Hosting Market Leadership Award by the international analyst firm Frost & Sullivan.

The Frost & Sullivan Best Practices awards recognise companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis and extensive secondary research to identify best practices in the industry.

The Award is presented to companies who have been successful in linking HR’s strategic priorities with the priorities and goals of the business as a whole. The accreditation is based on the HR Benchmark™ research process, a scientific and objective approach to assessing employer performance.

2009

Top Performing Companies incorporating the Top 300

Xneelo has been acknowledged as a Top Performing Company for three consecutive years (2009, 2007 & 2005) by Top Companies Publishing (PTY) Ltd in association with the Department of Trade and Industry. Xneelo is one of 300 companies that were nominated for sustained excellence in corporate performance.

The companies selected for this award were measured against strict entry criteria, formulated in consultation with respected and credible business organisations and academic institutions.

2006

Top ICTe Companies Award

Xneelo has been named a Top 50 ICTe (Information, Communication, Technologies and Electronic sectors) company for two consecutive years (2006 & 2004) by the Corporate Research Foundation (CRF), an independent international organisation that initiates, co-ordinates and delivers international business research projects worldwide, with offices in seven countries. This prestigious award is offered to companies who have demonstrated success in their respective markets in South Africa.

Xneelo was informed that the Top ICTe Companies Award was discontinued in 2007.

2005

Technology Top 100 Minister’s Award Finalist

Xneelo was singled out as one of six finalists to receive the Minister’s Award for Overall Technology Excellence (small enterprise), at the National Technology Top 100 Awards Banquet on 23 November 2005.

Up against fierce competition, xneelo was acknowledged for its innovative use of technology to develop and enhance existing business practices through its proprietary control panel, konsoleH™.

Xneelo is a member of ISPA, which is widely considered to be a credible, representative industry association. As members of ISPA, we subscribe to their code of conduct and support the initiatives they undertake in the service providers industry.
