Cloudbric WAF access control

You have the ability to customise your Web Application Firewall (WAF) settings to ensure optimal protection for your site. This includes managing access based on IP address, IP range or country.

This helps ensure that your target market remains accessible, avoiding accidental blocks caused by WAF settings. Additionally, it allows you to block access from specific IP addresses or ranges where you’ve identified malicious activity.

Steps

    Log in to the xneelo Control Panel.

    Select a Product (e.g Web Hosting) from the side menu.

    Select the domain name.

    Under Performance and Security, click on the arrow next to Cloudbric WAF.

    Click on Launch dashboard to open the dashboard in a new tab.

    Select the website and then select Settings.

    For specific IP addresses or ranges, select the IP Control tab. 
    • To block traffic from a specific IP address/range, insert the address in the text field in the Blocked IP section. Select Add Record.
    • If you would like to allow traffic from a specific IP address/range, insert the address in the text field in the Allowed IP section. Select Add Record.

      For access control based on country, select the Country tab.
      • Ensure Country access control is set to ON
      • Select “Blocked IP by Country - Allow access of all countries except for countries added in the list” and add the country you would like to block from the drop-down. Then click Add Record.
      • Or, select “Allowed IP by Country - Restrict access of all countries except for countries added in the list” to add countries from drop-down. Then click Add Record.

      Exercise caution when customising your WAF, as bypassing WAF filters can increase vulnerability.
