Premium domain names

Premium domains are domain names with short, common or desirable words, or acronyms of up to 3 letters.  They are available from specific registrars at a premium price. We do not facilitate the registration or administration of these domains.

.org.za

Previously, org.za domains were available free of charge, including domains now classified as premium as they contain 3 or fewer characters. These letters or characters are often acronyms for longer organization names.

ZARC registry changes, effective 1 September 2016, mean that these premium org.za domains are now only available via a specific registrar – at a higher cost than the regular domains. We will continue to administer the premium org.za domains registered prior to this change on behalf of our customers, but do not offer new premium domain registrations or administration.

City domains – .capetown, .durban & .joburg

The ZA Registry Consortium (ZARC) has reserved a list of City Premium Domains that are made available at a premium fee – for .capetown, .durban & .joburg domains. We do not facilitate the registration or administration of these domains.
