Cache FAQ

Cache is now in limited release. Visit our Help Centre guide for details on how to join.

Cache reduces load times, decreases bandwidth usage, and minimises server strain by serving cached content instead of fetching them from the origin server every time.

  • Can I use Cache while using Cloudflare DNS?

Yes, when using the free Cloudflare package for CDN purposes, you can enable the Cache with xneelo. Once activated, you will be presented with DNS records to change. Please follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: You will need to update the provided acme_challenge record and ensure it is not proxied on your Cloudflare DNS zone file settings.

  • How often is the cache invalidated?

Cached content is refreshed automatically based on the caching template applied to your website. Each template is designed for a specific site type and balances performance with how frequently your content changes.

    How caching works

    • Cache duration (TTL): How long a cached page is considered up to date
    • Grace period: If the cache expires, the previous version may still be shown briefly while a new version is generated in the background. This helps keep your site fast and stable.
