“Yellow Door Collective asks the right questions, looks at the big picture, and devises a game plan to elevate your brand.”
Yellow Door Collective began in April 2014, when co-founders Dominique Sandwith and Emma Donovan moved into a shared workspace behind a striking yellow door on Wale Street in Cape Town. “It was a classic case of two freelancers being in the right place at the right time,” explains Dominique. “We had a similar outlook on life, shared values and entrepreneurial mindsets. Establishing Yellow Door Collective seemed like a natural next step.”
A marketing strategy that makes sense
Yellow Door is a strategic marketing partner to a wide variety of local and international brands. “Our mission is to tailor solutions rather than ticking boxes,” says Emma. “To do this we play to our strengths and combine expertise with innovation to successfully realise clients’ marketing objectives.” With team members in Cape Town, London, Pretoria, East London and Harare, they have an international-yet-local approach.
A key part of the service Yellow Door offers is the guidance their customers need to start or grow their businesses. “Whether that is by creating an online home for their brand, or a brand identity, or even just creating the content that will help them communicate with their customers, we love to see their growth and be a part of their journey,” Dominique says.
A people-centric approach
As a small team, Yellow Door is able to be agile and results-driven, without losing the personal approach. “People come first at Yellow Door,” Emma says. “We’ve learnt that people are going to come and go in your business and each one will bring a new lesson. If you create a culture and stick to your values, the right people and customers will be attracted to that and will find you.”
What’s happening behind the Yellow Door
The Yellow Door website showcases their brand story, their values and their promise to customers. “We have recently upgraded our website with a new look and added content about our services and a more extensive portfolio of our work,” explains Dominique. “It also houses our blog where we post interesting and relevant articles weekly, and let people know what’s happening behind the Yellow Door.”
A partnership with xneelo
“We’ve been working with xneelo since the beginning of Yellow Door, and we always recommend them to our clients because of the efficient, useful service we have always received. No matter what the problem, there’s always someone available to help you solve it.”
“We choose the basic hosting package for ourselves and recommend it to most of our clients because it’s the best value for money hosting package available. We build all of our websites on WordPress so it’s a great package for that platform too.”
Our relationship with xneelo is symbiotic: we refer our clients to them and they make it easier for us to give our clients the best possible website product.”
