Our Data Centre has a fault tolerant, 2N power distribution design. It offers separated A and B power feeds, backed by a fully redundant UPS and generator backup power system on each feed. We also carry enough fuel on site to continuously run our generators for up to 7 days uninterrupted.

We operate a Data Centre that is carrier neutral and invite all network operators and content providers to join our growing ecosystem. Cross connects are available to the INX-ZA internet exchange hosted in our Data Centre.

Our air conditioning system is designed to reduce our carbon footprint and keep costs down. The system uses free cooling and cold aisle containment technology, reducing the reliance on active cooling, resulting in significant power savings. We’ve achieved a favorable average PUE score year on year, which today stands at 1.2.

Our hosting network is built on Juniper technology that provides superior uptime and reliability, from edge to rack.

Technology-driven measures provide perimeter, building and access-control security. The perimeter is backed by high voltage barriers, latest video surveillance and response systems. All access zones, and racks, are monitored. Biometric access control systems allow unattended access to authorised visitors. Security personnel are on site 24/7 to ensure the safety of our visitors.

Our fire prevention strategy is achieved through a multi-zoned VESDA fire detection system, deployed throughout the Data Centre, the energy centres and diesel tanks. This strategy is backed by stringent fire mitigation procedures and best practice.

Frequently asked questions

If outside ambient temperatures are within set parameters, this air is used to cool the Data Centre.  When the ambient temperature moves outside these set points, the system engages in active, conventional cooling. It is, therefore, possible, particularly during winter months, for the Data Centre to run almost exclusively on free cooling.

Our Data Centre Park doesn’t cater for the installation of wireless networking equipment.

Yes, for 7 days, if you’ve arranged this with us beforehand. Your equipment will be kept in a secure area for safekeeping, however, this is at your own risk. Please make sure your equipment is clearly labeled. To collect and install your equipment, please make an appointment.
