Authorised Contacts and their Access Rights

May I give more individuals access rights to my xneelo account?

Should you wish to give certain individuals authority over aspects of one or more of your hosting accounts or servers, you can make use of the ‘Manage Contacts’ feature in konsoleH. Here you can setup and maintain a list of additional contacts for your account under the following groups, depending on the access privileges you require:

  • The Account Owner:

This person is the individual who originally signed up with xneelo (or has subsequently taken on this role) and is considered to be the legal owner of the xneelo Account (web hosting account, server or colocation service). The Account Owner has full rights to request any information from xneelo, with ultimate say over the account. As the legal owner or company representative, they are responsible for the payment of any invoices on the account.

  • The Authoritative Contact:

This person has been given permission by the Account Owner to access all information at all levels on the customer account – complete access to konsoleH will be given. This is normally a person trusted explicitly by the Account Owner and has the ability to add or remove other contacts, place new orders and cancel services.

  • The Billing Contact:

This person may request information relating to payments and invoices, but is not authorised to change the payment method or banking details. This contact receives regular invoices that are emailed at various intervals. Access to konsoleH is not permitted.

  • The Technical Contact:

Technical Contacts are automatically added to each new product that is ordered via konsoleH, but can be amended afterwards.

Web Hosting: The technical contact gains access to information relating to a specific domain, normally FTP and mailbox details. Domain Level access to konsoleH is allowed.

Self-Managed Servers: The technical contact may be given data centre access. The Account Owner can use the Manage Contacts tool to specify if a technical contact is authorised to access the data centre.

Managed Servers: Domain Level access to konsoleH is allowed. Data centre access does not apply as the server is managed by us.

Colocation: Technical contacts may be given access to the Data Centre. Please see our Help Centre article on granting access.

With these records, xneelo can verify if a contact is authorised to receive the requested information or assistance, thereby ensuring that valuable customer and account information is not given to an unauthorised person. Our Customer Support consultants will only act on request from verified contacts, as listed within your konsoleH control panel.

Note: Only listed authoritative contacts may request 3rd party contractors to visit the DC.
