How to create a volume from an image

Note: This article relates to a product currently in beta testing.

Creating a volume from an image in the xneelo Cloud dashboard involves the process of generating a storage volume by utilising an existing Image as a blueprint. This allows users to easily replicate and deploy virtual machine configurations from pre-defined Images, streamlining the deployment of cloud-based resources in the xneelo Cloud environment.

Steps

    Log in to your xneelo Cloud dashboard.

    Using the menu on the left, navigate to the Storage > Images page.

    On the right-hand side, next to the Image, click the dropdown and select Create Volume.
  • 4
    In the dialogue box that appears, give your Volume a name in the Name field. The rest of the fields are optional.
  • 5
    Click Create Volume when you’re finished. The new Volume can be found in Volumes > Volumes.

What happens next

You can connect your volume to a new instance.
