Can I register a .edu domain?

We do not register .edu domains.

Eligibility for a .edu domain name is limited to the United States postsecondary institutions accredited by the Department of Education’s list of Nationally Recognized Accrediting Agencies.

Registrants are required to be located within the United States or to be licensed, chartered or incorporated within the US or fully recognized by a US state or federal government agency.

The US-based governing body responsible for .edu domains are the only registrar allowed to administer the registration and maintenance of those domains.
