How to update your name servers

Your domain’s name servers can be updated easily and conveniently via the xneelo Control Panel.

Note: Updating the name servers for your domain away from xneelo means that we will have no control over relevant aspects of your website or email and we recommend using DNS pointing or redirects (where applicable) instead.

Before performing a name server update, ensure that the name servers have been set up/configured correctly by the new hosting provider.

Steps

    Log in to the xneelo Control Panel.

    Select Domains from the side menu.
  • 3
    Search for or select the specific domain name.
  • 4
    Under DNS/ Name servers, select Change name servers.
  • 5
    Select Use a different provider's name servers to add your host's name servers, or Xneelo if you would like to switch to xneelo name servers.

    Add your custom name servers in the fields provided. If you will be using xneelo’s name servers, these will be added automatically.

    Select Continue.

    Review your changes and click Save changes.

What happens next

Changes made to name servers do not propagate throughout the internet immediately, as all server caches first need to expire and refresh. Propagation typically takes 24 to 48 hours.
