We’ve made reliability improvements to our backup system to the extent that we can now achieve a 99% success rate consistently.
The system has backed up approximately 7 billion files to date, amounting to 500 TB of data. With the 1% risk factor, we recommend that you keep a separate back up of your files e.g. on your computer’s hard drive or on a portable hard drive. It is also important to be aware of our AUP (Acceptable Usage Policy) which allows for a limit of 50,000 files per directory. Having this file limit in place ensures that we offer a stable hosting environment with optimal server performance. Should you exceed this limit, we’ll exclude those directories from our backup process.
