  • What is xneelo Cloud?

    Xneelo Cloud is a versatile, Infrastructure-as-a-Service product, which allows you to build your own cloud environments.

    You can create virtual infrastructure on demand, and have complete control to ‘self-manage’ your computing resources.

  • What features does xneelo Cloud offer?

  • What does xneelo Cloud cost?

    Xneelo Cloud offers pay-as-you-go pricing. This means you only pay for the resources you create, for the duration they exist. 

    Your monthly cloud pricing is not fixed. It will vary based on the resources that you use, and the duration they exist.

  • How much experience do I need in cloud?

    Xneelo Cloud is designed to be user-friendly, but it is a technical, self-managed product. More advanced customers will find the product is simple to use and offers great utility.

    You will need to be familiar with:

    • Cloud computing concepts
    • Virtual infrastructure and networking
    • Server management, connectivity, and security

    Our Help Centre has a great set of resources to help you navigate xneelo Cloud and make use of the services available.





  • How do I sign up for xneelo Cloud?

    You can sign up for xneelo Cloud in the xneelo Control Panel. Follow the steps here.

    As part of the signup process, you will create a new account – named an x-Account – which offers enhanced cloud billing functionality.

    Once you’ve signed up, you can create your first cloud project and get started.




  • What can I use xneelo Cloud for?

    Xneelo Cloud supports a wide range of use cases—simple or complex, small scale or enterprise-grade.

    Here’s how developers and teams commonly use our cloud platform:

    Flexible Computing – Launch high-performance cloud instances (virtual machines) with the power you need, for small to large workloads, for short or long-term processing.

    Application Hosting – Host everything from websites, to software, to full-stack applications with ease and scalability.

    Distributed Systems – Run containerised or microservices-based systems across multiple virtual machines.

    Multiple Environments – Easily set up separate environments for development, testing, staging, and production, within a unified cloud setup.

    Rapid Workload Replication – Duplicate servers and environments in minutes, enabling fast recovery, load balancing, or quick deployments across teams.

    Accelerated Development – Quickly spin up environments to support agile development cycles, CI/CD workflows, and experimentation.




  • What operating systems are available?

    In xneelo Cloud, images are used to launch new cloud instances. A virtual machine image is a single file that contains a virtual disk that has a bootable operating system installed on it.

    We provide a set of commonly used Linux-based operating systems, as public images available for you to use.

    You can also create your own private images, if you wish to use your own operating systems.

  • What regions does xneelo Cloud offer?

    There is currently one region, and one availability zone available for xneelo Cloud.

    These are located within our world class Data Centre in Johannesburg, which is secure, highly redundant, and ensures a highly-available cloud service is provided.




  • Are there limits on the cloud resources I can use?

    Yes. Each project has a default set of limits that determine the total compute, storage, and network resources you can provision. Limits are set on both the size and number of cloud resources.

  • How are backups and disaster recovery handled?

    Xneelo is responsible for the network and physical infrastructure of the cloud platform. Our world-class Data Centre is fully secure and redundant. As per our Terms of Service, we ensure that a highly-available Cloud service is provided.

    Everything within your cloud environment (your systems, data and software) is your responsibility to self-manage. This includes managing your system availability and backing up your data.
