How to transfer a co.uk domain name to xneelo
An IPS tag is the label that applies to each ISP or hosting provider and needs to be updated when a co.uk domain name is transferred from one ISP to another.
Transfer your co.uk domain to xneelo:
- Contact the domain’s current registration provider and ask them to change the IPS tag for your domain to TUCOWS-CA (all in capital letters).
- Once your domain registration provider has confirmed that they have updated the IPS tag, contact us to complete the transfer and update the authoritative name servers for your domain.
Alternatively, your current ISP can update the domain with their registrar to reflect the xneelo nameservers. Please email your current ISP your new Primary and Secondary name servers. Should you follow this procedure, xneelo will not be the billing contact for domain renewal.
It may take up to 72 hours before all ISPs are aware that your domain is now hosted on xneelo’s servers due to propagation.
Note: In the event that your current Registrar shares the same IPS tag as xneelo (TUCOWS-CA), a manual transfer request will need to be submitted on your behalf. Please contact us to assist you.
