To create, edit or remove DNS records for domains on your Self-Managed server, use the Manage DNS tool in konsoleH.

Access the Manage DNS tool in konsoleH

  1. Browse to konsoleH and log in at Admin level
  2. Select or search for your Self-Managed server name.
  3. From the left-hand menu, under Server Management, select ManageDNS.
  4. Select the domain and choose Remove or Edit or simply click on Add to create the zone file as required.
  5. A variety of tasks can be completed within the Manage DNS tool
      • View all current records
      • Search for a specific zone record to edit
      • Delete a record
      • Edit an existing record
      • Add a new record
      • Use a template to easily update your mail records for use with Outlook for Office 365 or Google Mail, as well as templates to revert back to our default settings
      • Import (upload) a file containing multiple zone records or export (download) a copy of the zone records allows for easy DNS backup

How to edit a record

  1. Search for the relevant record using the search bar or scrolling through the various records
  2. Click Edit at the right-hand side of the relevant record
  3. Make the relevant changes e.g. replace the IP address
  4. Click Update

How to add a record

  1. Add the relevant details in the Add record table on the left of the screen
  2. Click Add record

How to delete a record

  1. Search for the relevant record using the search bar or scrolling through the various records
  2. Click the X at the far right-hand side of the record
  3. Click Delete

How to use a zone template

  1. Select the relevant template e.g. Office365 and click View
  2. The full DNS zone record that will be implemented can now be viewed, showing records that will be deleted in red and records added in green
  3. To proceed, click the Apply this template button

How to import or export zone records

  1. Find the Zone options at the bottom left of the screen
  2. To Export a file containing all your DNS details, click Export zone. A .txt file will be downloaded to your computer.
  3. To Import zone records, click Import zone and then select the relevant file that you want to import.
  • Please be aware that it can take up to 24 hours before you will see your DNS changes reflected due to DNS propagation.
