How to add a rule to a Cloud Security Group

Note: This article relates to a product currently in beta testing.

Security rules are IP filters that define networking access to an instance. It is an individual component within a security group that defines specific traffic types and their allowed direction (ingress or egress).

By combining multiple rules within a security group, a customised virtual firewall is created to effectively control access to instances and enhance their security.

Note: Adding a rule to a security group can leave the instance vulnerable to attack or expose sensitive data. Before proceeding, carefully review the impact of adding the rule.
