How to remove a Security Group from a Cloud instance
Note: This article relates to a product currently in beta testing.
Security Groups are sets of IP filter rules that act as a virtual firewall for your instances to control ingress and egress traffic. Removing a Security Group from an instance removes all its associated rules and will have an impact on the security of the instance it was attached to.
Before proceeding ensure there are no resources implementing the Security Group otherwise the deletion will fail.
1Log in to your xneelo Cloud dashboard.
2Navigate to Compute > Instances.
3On the right-hand side of the list of instances click on the dropdown button in the Actions column.
4Select Edit Security Groups.
5In the dialog box, select the Security Group you want to remove from the right column of the table by clicking on the “-” button. This will move the Security Group from the right-hand column to the left-hand column.
6In the bottom right corner of the pop-up, click Save to confirm the action. Otherwise, press Cancel to undo the changes.
