How to set a server’s Traffic Burst Notifications via the xneelo Control Panel

The information in this article is related to the new xneelo Control Panel.
If you are still using konsoleH, refer to this article.

It is important to understand the server’s trends prior to setting your Traffic Burst Notification.

Evaluate trends

  1. Establish the server’s normal average daily traffic usage.
  2. Compare the traffic usage to determine an hourly average and set the rate to include enough leeway for busy periods.
  3. If your analysis indicates that the Traffic Burst Notifications default setting of 200 MB in 1 hour is too frequent, we recommend increasing the threshold to avoid unnecessary notifications.

Update the notification frequency and threshold amount

  1. Log in to the xneelo Control Panel.
  2. Under Products in the side menu, select Self-Managed Servers.
  3. Select the server name.
  4. Under Traffic tools, click on Burst Notifications.
  5. Select your preferred thresholds, timeframe, and email address(es).
  6. Click Update settings.
Assist Note

If the new limit is exceeded after being adjusted it may require further investigation.
