How to cancel hosting with other providers

In order to transfer your domain, email and/or website to us, you’ll need to cancel your hosting service with your current provider. To assist you in this process, we have listed the most common hosting companies below, together with the procedure that they require.

      Send a cancellation email including information on the transfer of your domain name to cancellations@1-grid.com, or contact them on 021 200 1201.

      The request must originate from the email address listed on your account. Cancellation requests originating from an alternative email address will be ignored.

  • Adept

      Email a cancellation request from the Adept account holder.
    2. 2
      Make a follow-up call to the cancellations department to ensure that the cancellation request has been received and processed.
    3. 3
      The transfer ticket must be submitted with the Registrant’s details.

      Browse to Afrihost.
    2. 2
      Log in with your email address and password and follow the cancellation and transfer procedure.
    3. 3
      There will be a 30-day notice period before xneelo may submit the transfer ticket.
    4. 4
      Make a follow-up call to the cancellations department to ensure that the cancellation request has been received and processed.

      You will need to email a request advising of the cancellation and transfer. A calendar month notice is required.

      Send a hosting cancellation email including information on the transfer of your domain name E.g. transferring away to xneelo. The email must be sent to accountenquiries@host4africa.com.

      The request must originate from the email address they have on record and include a clearly scanned copy of an identity document i.e. passport, drivers license or national identity document.
    3. 3
      Cancellation requests originating from an alternative email address will be ignored.

      Make a follow-up call to the cancellations department to ensure that the cancellation request has been received and processed.

      Send a written cancellation notice to info@imaginet.co.za before the 24th of the month.
    2. 2
      The email must be sent from the account holder.
    3. 3
      Once the cancellation has been received by Imaginet, the transfer can be submitted.

      Cancellations must be processed by using the Customer Service Area on their website.

      Please note that by default, WebAfrica requires notification of non-renewal on or before the 20th of each month. If you do not provide this notice, you will be charged the rate for the next renewal term as stipulated on their product pages.
