How to point a domain to a Managed WordPress website
If your domain is not administered by xneelo, you can point your domain’s DNS records to your Managed WordPress website.
Follow the steps in this guide to point your domain name to your Managed WordPress website.
Steps
-
1Log in to the xneelo Control Panel.
-
2Under Products in the side menu, select Managed WordPress.
-
3Click on your website name.
-
4Under Domains, select Attach domain.
-
5Select Use a domain I own with another provider and click Continue.
-
6Enter your domain name and click Attach.
-
7Read the instructions and copy the DNS records.
-
8Log in to your DNS provider's dashboard and update the domain’s DNS records to match those provided by xneelo:
- Update the A record with the IP Address provided
- Create a CNAME record, replacing the value with your domain name
-
9When your DNS record is updated, click on Ready to Attach to complete the domain attachment. Note: DNS updates can take some time depending on your provider. You can come back to this page at any time to complete the domain attachment by simply clicking the Attach the Domain button on the WordPress Product Overview screen.
