How to shut off a Cloud instance

Note: This article relates to a product currently in beta testing.

Shutting off an instance is similar to powering down a computer. While in this state, the instance stops running, but any data saved to the disk remains intact and preserved.

Please remember to close all active connections, save important data, and stop any running applications on the instance to prevent data corruption.

This guide explains how to shut off an instance.

Steps

    Log in to your xneelo Cloud dashboard.

    Using the menu on the left, navigate to Compute > Instances.

    On the right-hand side of the list of instances click on the dropdown button in the Actions column.

    Select Shut Off Instance.
  • 5
    In the bottom right corner of the pop-up, click the red confirmation button to confirm the action. Otherwise, press Cancel to stop the process.

    The Status column on the Instances page will display Shutoff if the action was successful.
Assist Note

You will still be charged for a shut-off instance. To avoid any charges, you should delete instances that are no longer needed.
