How to add a Parked domain via the xneelo Control Panel
If you are still using konsoleH, refer to this article.
Would you like to add Multiple or Parked domains to your Managed Server? The xneelo Control Panel isn’t quite ready yet, but konsoleH can help you now.
Parked domains are domain names that mirror the web content of the domain under which it is ‘parked’. They also include one mailbox. No hosting fees apply.
For example, you can park example.org under example.com. When browsing to example.org, the example.com website will be displayed, but the URL will remain example.org.
Steps
-
1Log in or sign up to the xneelo Control Panel.
-
2Select a Product (e.g. Web Hosting) from the side menu.
-
3Select an active Web Hosting package. If you don’t have any active web hosting packages, you cannot set up a Parked domain.
-
4From the Web Hosting Overview page, scroll down and click on Parked & Multiple Domains, under Hosting tools.
-
5Click + Add.
-
6Select Parked Domain and click Continue.
-
7Choose a domain option.
-
8In the Domain Search screen, type a domain name you’d like to use for this Parked domain and search its availability.
-
9Proceed with an option that suits your needs and complete the ordering process.
What happens next
Your new Parked domain will be provisioned in a few minutes.
A Parked domain has the same IP address as the domain name on which it is parked.
Note the difference between Parked domains and a Redirect: When browsing to a Parked domain, the URL remains unchanged whereas in the case of a redirect the URL changes to that of the redirected webpage. Multiple domains are better suited to these requirements if you would prefer to set up a redirect.
