How to order an internal transfer via the xneelo Control Panel

The information in this article is related to the new xneelo Control Panel.
If you are still using konsoleH, refer to this article.

If you have a domain on xneelo’s network that is administered by someone else and you would prefer to administer the domain and hosting yourself, you can request a transfer to your own xneelo account.

Note: To ensure a smooth transfer, we recommend that you contact the current account holder who is managing the domain before you put in your transfer request.

Steps

  • 1
If you don’t yet have an xneelo account, then register here.
  • 2
Log in to the xneelo Control Panel.
  • 3
Using the left-hand menu, navigate to Transfers under Tools.
  • 4
Under the Sent requests tab, select + New transfer request.
  • 5
Click on Continue in the Request ownership of a domain within xneelo card.
  • 6
Enter the domain name without the preceding www and click Search.
  • 7
Transfer options will appear if the domain is available for an internal account transfer. Select Continue.
  • 8
Complete the new Domain owner and Admin owner contact information and click Continue.
  • 9
If the domain you will be transferring has a hosting package associated with it, choose your preferred hosting location and web hosting package type. Then click Continue.
  • 10
You will have the opportunity to send a message to the account holder that is managing the domain name. Include as much information as possible to ensure that the current account holder is aware of the transfer. Click Continue to proceed. Note: This field is optional.
  • 11
Check that your account details are correct on the My account details page and edit these if necessary. Click Continue.
  • 12
Choose your preferred payment method and click Continue.
  • 13
The order summary will be visible. Check the details and agree to xneelo’s Terms of Service and other important details. Then select Submit request.
  • 14
A notification will confirm that the internal transfer has been submitted successfully. Click Close and you will be taken back to the Internal Transfers landing page. You may view the status of your request under the Sent requests tab.

What happens next

A transfer request with an authorisation code will be sent to the current administrator, which allows them to accept or decline the transfer. The transfer request is valid for 10 days after which it will automatically be declined. As soon as the current administrator approves the request, the transfer process will start.

The current administrator also has the ability to approve the transfer of any associated domains (Parked or Multiple domains).

Assist Note

You are able to Resend the transfer request with a message one more time before the transfer expires via the Sent requests tab.

If declined, we suggest reaching out to the current account owner to find out why they are declining your request and what you can do to make it a success.

Assist Tip

Custom DNS records will not be changed once the transfer is approved.
