How to reset or update your passwords

All passwords associated with your hosting account are encrypted and xneelo does not retain any records of your passwords. This means that lost passwords are not recoverable, however, they can be reset if they have been forgotten.


  • konsoleH Admin level access

    If you have forgotten your konsoleH Management password, it can be reset by following the steps below:

    1. 1
      Browse to https://forgotpassword.konsoleh.co.za/.
    2. 2
      Enter your Account email address and click Reset Password.
    3. 3
      A reset password link will be sent to your email address: Click on the included link.
    4. 4
      A new window will open, providing you the opportunity to update your password. Use your email address and new password to log in to konsoleH.

    Should you no longer have access to the email address to which the password reset link is sent, please contact us for assistance.

    If you have access to konsoleH, your password can be updated by following these steps:

    1. 1
      Browse to konsoleH and log in at Admin level.
    2. 2
      Select the Account Admin tab in the top right-hand corner.
    3. 3
      Under Account Details select Management Password.
    4. 4
      Follow the instructions to choose a new password.
    5. 5
      Click on Update.





  • konsoleH Domain level access

    To access konsoleH for a specific domain, use:

    • Login: the domain name e.g. example.co.za
    • Password: the FTP password.

    If you have forgotten the Domain level/FTP password, you will need Admin level access to reset it. If you are not the xneelo Account Owner, please contact them to update this password for you.

  • xneelo Control Panel management password

    If you have forgotten your xneelo Control Panel Management password, it can be reset by following the steps below:

    1. 1
      Browse to the xneelo Control Panel login page.
    2. 2
      Click on Forgot your password?
    3. 3
      Enter the Account email address and click Send Reset Link.
    4. 4
      A verification email will be sent to your email address if there is an existing account for the email address entered. Click on the included link.
    5. 5
      A new window will open, providing you the opportunity to update your password. Follow the instructions to complete this update.
    6. 6
      Use your email address and new password to log in to the xneelo Control Panel.

    Should you no longer have access to the email address to which the password reset link is sent, please contact us for assistance.

    If you have access to your xneelo Control Panel, your password can be updated by following these steps:

    1. 1
      Log in to the xneelo Control Panel.
    2. 2
      Select the initials icon in the top right-hand corner.
    3. 3
      Select My Profile.
    4. 4
      Select the Security tab.
    5. 5
      Click on Update password.
    6. 6
      You may be requested to re-authenticate to continue.
    7. 7
      Enter your new password.
    8. 8
      Click on Reset Password.





  • FTP Password

    Refer to the FTP Users tool for the login name and to reset the password.

    Note: You will need to log in to konsoleH at Admin level, so if you are not the xneelo Account Owner, please contact them to update the FTP password on your behalf.

    When changing your FTP Password, remember that you would need to update the password in your FTP programme the next time you connect.





  • Email Passwords

    Email passwords can be reset by the end-user only if they know their current passwords. If not, Domain or Admin level access is required to reset passwords using the Manage Account tool in konsoleH. Here’s how:

    Note that once email passwords are reset, your mail programme on all devices will also need to be updated with the new password.





  • Database Password

    You can log in to konsoleH at Admin or Domain level to reset the database passwords. Here’s how:

    Note: You will need to update your database connection strings at the same time to prevent your website from breaking.





  • Remote Control

    In order to change the password for your Remote Control, you need to know the current password. Here’s how:

    The Remote Control password can’t be recovered. If you have lost this password, contact dedicated@xneelo.com to request that your server be power-cycled in order to reset your password.





  • Self-Managed Server: File Storage

    The resetting of the File Storage user password can be performed via the File Storage tool. Here’s how:
